Vidnava was originated as bastioned town in the year 1266. Town was, thanks its strategic position, several tome beleaugered and ruined. Improtant building is gothic church from the year 1276, rebuilt in 1833. The tower of church has Renaissance style with ambit and loop-holes. Renaissance building of reeve-house from year 1559 has remainded from works of town. Interesting is also rectangular square with baroque, Renaissance and empire houses.
